I wanted to carry on working with a portrait in line and decided to choose a different topic. I researched the most hated people of last year and grouped the most iconic ones from each group such as Businessmen, TV personalities, Influencers, and actors.
The research I did behind these led me to find some interesting and controversial facts about some of these celebrities most of which were to do with politics, however influencer Logan Paul is one of the tops hated people of 2018 after his suicide forest video he posted on his 'kid-friendly' youtube channel.
I wanted to use previous influences such as Trappeniers along with new graphic artists who work with portraits such as Silke Werzinger. The layout of my final pieces was based on Mount Rushmore and the joint faces of presidents. In each piece I wanted to have a sense of playfulness to contradict the main theme of hate behind each portrait, I did this by basing the backgrounds and overlays of light colors and shapes based on Werzingers pieces.
