Coming to uni I was so so nervous (as most people probably are) but also really excited for a fresh start after secondary school, living away from the city I grew up in (which is the worst place on this earth(Coventry)) and making new friends.
I settled in immediately and was loving it from day 1. I've made the most amazing friends for life and unexpectedly found the most perfect boyfriend and I wouldn't change anything about it for the world.
Nottingham is now one of my favourite cities I've ever visited, it's 100x better than where I'm from but obviously that's not very hard to beat... Its got so much life and culture to it with so many bars, restaurants and clubs (obviously the most important part) and so many shops to spend all my student loan in.
Fashion communication and promotion have been amazing for the first term, I've enjoyed all the work we've been set and learning about the fashion industry in way more detail than I ever have before has opened my mind up to it and made me fall even more in love with fashion. The course has made me more aware of the world around me in how brands and consumers work. I've become so much more passionate about reading fashion news every day and keeping up my hobbies of art and photography but taking them more in the direction of my course and keeping them relevant to fashion. As well I've been visiting much more art exhibitions around the country which is something I will carry on doing to broaden my knowledge even further. Being on the course has also meant I've met so many more people than just my accommodation, and made many more friends with the cutest girls ever!
Just before Christmas was the only time I've really missed home and being with my family which I'm extremely close and my adorable dog who I miss the most of course. My first term overall has been wild, and I've enjoyed every second (maybe not the times I've been badly hungover...)
